During the broadcast of October 5, 2024 in the program “Surco y Marea” of Cadena SER Andalucía, the need to have a 360º vision towards the energy development of the future is raised.
The key: to maintain a plural and transversal view towards the energy model that we want, can offer and approach, based on the questions:
Where do we stand? – What steps will be taken? – What challenges will there be in Andalusia?
In this informative space, committed to development, current affairs and issues of interest to the primary sector, María Eugenia Vílchez and Francisco José Román (conductors) commented on the relevance of STEP as a Knowledge Generation Project that aims to strengthen the Energy Transition through social innovation and the territory. The team’s work to evaluate the physical, environmental, landscape and social processes of renewable energies, as well as the territory and the people who inhabit them, is recognized.
María José Prados Velasco, in her position as director of the project, intervened in the program to point out that the characteristics of the project, from its interdisciplinary approach, are the research and development of scientifically validated methodological tools on territorial planning, through social and territorial innovation.
It also announces the celebration of the “Seminar on Energy Transition in the Iberian Peninsula”, organized jointly by the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage and the University of Seville, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The aim of this conference is to share perspectives on the change of regime in the promotion of renewable energy sources within the Energy Transition promoted by the Member States of the European Union. A reflection will be sought from different positions such as: public administrations, private companies, project promotion, academia, energy communities, and young university students.
The STEP project roadmap celebrates these spaces to stimulate the exchange of ideas and present some preliminary results and findings in our work to generate scientific knowledge from dialogue and transfer to society.
